Case Study

Executive Director Medical Affairs-Oncology

THE ASSIGNMENT.

We partnered with one of the World’s most recognized and successful biotechnology companies to help them recruit an Executive Director, Global Medical Affairs, for their Multiple Myeloma program.

THE CHALLENGE.

The company had already tried recruiting for this position with their internal resources before asking for our support. This role was not in a biotech hub and required someone to be based in their office. They were looking for a senior level medical affairs physician to lead a global medical affairs effort for their lead program in multiple myeloma. They needed an MD with global medical affairs experience in hematology-oncology. Given the competitive landscape in this space, they needed someone who had expertise in the field and a good rapport with key opinion leaders.

THE OUTCOME.

We recruited a Sr. Director Medical Affairs-Hematology Oncology candidate out of a major competitor who was willing to relocate. This candidate was presented within the first month and signed the offer within 4 months of starting the search. We presented several candidates who fit our client’s search criteria and they were able to select this candidate from a slate of capable options.
